    Georgetown road conditions

Any update on central Texas roadways? Pretty slick on the county road in front of my house. Sheet of black ice across the entire road.

It sucked from Salado to Austin. Not completely frozen over but just bad enough that people thought they could drive like the normal idiots they are. Then they would hit a frozen patch and wreck. Took me over 3 hours to get from Killeen to Austin this morning.
    Worst area was around Jarrell.

Wife just went to work an hour ago and the roads were super bad. 130 closed down along with parts of 79 for multiple accidents. She is still on the road to Parmer Lane.

Looks like I don't have to report to work until 10:00 so I'm gonna hunker down and cook some fresh pan sausage and scrambled eggs. Ya'll be careful out there.

I live right off 79, by the big HEB at 79/Grimes, and my boss emailed my team and said not to even think about heading in, and to just work from home.

I'm thawing pan sausage too! nomnomnomnomnomnomnom

I came into Georgetown from Northlake and the roads were fine. Some ice on the bridges but the roads were fine.

Apparently the roads to the east are worse. Krueger (Catfish Mafia for you GRXH fellas) had a head on with a Sheriff's office van that slid into his lane. It sounds like he is OK, just cut up a bit by the airbag.

I've told my guys to just sit tight and wait it out.

Roads are slick all over. After sliding all over 71 this morning in western Travis county on my way in to the office, I said the heck with it and am now working from home.

                Wife just text this.

Been on road for almost 3 hrs and barely in Pflugerville and stuck again at dead stop due to another wreck!!!! Trying to get to work. This is crazy!! Slipping and sliding even in 4 wheel drive!

Right on my friend. Better to err on the side of caution in a situation like this. I see working from home includes perusing the green screen.

I came in a little late and used 130. It was pretty slick all over.
