Does anyone know what an error message stating 020000 means? Thanks

I found this info on another site, it appears that if you set up the camera during the daylight it will give you the 020000 code due to the IR flash not operating. I hope thats the case as it appeared to be counting trips but was worried it may not be taking pics.


Here are the codes:

There are 6 digits in the error code. Going from left most(1) to right most(6), they are as follows:

1 - Battery Test
0 => Pass
1 => 0 volts or Low

2 - Flash test/Flash Charging
0 => Pass
2 => Failed

3 - IR Sensor Test
0 => Pass
3 => Failed

4 - Camera Mod Test
0 => Pass
4 => Failed

5 - Memory Test
0 => memory ok or no sd card
5 => Memory Full
6 => SD card locked
7 => SD card damaged
8 => Comms Error

6 - Clock Test
0 => Pass
9 => Failed

I had a 200 that kept giving me those flash errors. If you keep getting it and it won't take pics, send it in. I sent the 200 in twice and they finally sent me a D40 free. It, and my I40, work great.
But I have also seen that same error setting up the I40 and it still worked...

I talked to the people at Moultrie about this problem and they said exactly what Lethal Injection told you. The IR Flash won't work in daylight so it shows in the test mode that it is not operating. So the camera should be fine.

mine has done it as well, but still took bunches of pics... glad to know it is a normal error... I knew I should have bought that one on ebay with the error!
