I am not a duck hunter, but some of the best pictures are the ones with a beautiful dog coming through the water with a duck. I am not sure which is more beautiful dog or duck. I am a softy when it comes to the pooch.

The band was worn pretty thin. Oldest band I've killed by a long shot. Next closest was a 5 year old mallard and it wasn't nearly as thin as this one. They were both killed within 60 yards of each other in the same timber hole!

I hunted quite a bit this year and kept telling myself I was ready for it to be over. Now I'm sitting here trying to figure out a time and place to go kill some snow geese during the conservation season. Hopefully it warms up quick so we can start killing some bull frogs!

I figured as much. I killed a banded lesser once and the band was thin enough to cut yourself on. I never got the cert on it.
