I can honestly say I have Never watched 1 second of the Grammys or any awards show .
Just because you win a award don't mean I will like it.

I watched it. Besides all the music I have two take aways:

1) Steven Tyler scares me. He obviously didnt get the age gracefully memo.

2) Did Yoko Ono even know where she was?

You guys crack me up! I'm pretty sure that us redneck Bowhunters are not the demographic that Taylor and her label are going after. Obviously I'm a Merle kinda guy but Taylor does write her own songs and that goes a long way with me.

Yep. I don't watch the Grammys or any of the other awards shows, but TS is very talented. I don't own any of her CDs, and I change the channel if her songs come on the radio. But she is very talented and puts out stuff that her target audience loves. She taught my daughter how to play guitar pretty much. I actually taught her, but TS gave my daughter songs to learn and play and inspired her to do it, so I appreciate that.

And she has (so far) been a much better example of a human being than Miley Cyrus or 95% of the rest of them. As a dad of a daughter, I REALLY appreciate that. Morgan is in college now, and she's playing a lot of music at ACU already. I don't know if she'll follow in your footsteps or not, Aaron, and make a career of it someday. But she's using the talent that God gave her to glorify Him. THAT is what it's all about.

By the way, while I'm on that subject..... Thank you, Aaron, for being a great role model for my kids as well. My son, Zach, is a guitar player too. He can sing, but he won't. He wants to play professionally someday. I have to admit that I worry about that some. I know the dangers and pitfalls that are a part of the music industry. But I always take them to see you play whenever we get the chance, because I want them to see somebody that truly uses his talent to glorify the Lord rather than himself. I appreciate your example, brother.

One thing I've admired about her is her song writing abilities, she is extremely talented no doubt. Can she sing the best, probably not, and she will be the 1st to tell you that. But she has earned respect from me for her song writing. Can't be said for other bigs stars, like George Strait.
