Congrat's to you and your wife on the upcoming addition to the family. Coming up with baby names can be very stressfull/difficult. Sometimes you can come up with one that you think is good, get your spouse to agree to it...... and then you solicit opinions for reassurance. Hopefully the feedback you have received will either make your mind up or think about alternatives. I'm sure when its all done y'all make the right choice for your daughter.

Congrats on the baby girl. Guess I'll go against the grain. I think its a really cool girl name. My wife and 14 yo son agree. My son got his name, Hunter, because of a friend joking I should name him Bo and then give him a middle name of Hunter. That's going a bit far, but Hunter stuck.

My wife doesn't like it, but I do... Go figure! It sure beats the FB post I saw a couple of years ago that said "If I can get 500,000 people to share this, my wife will let me name our child Spider-Pig."
Of course I shared it. Have you SEEN the Simpson's movie? Spider-Pig does whatever a Spider-Pig does!

Benelli IS a pretty name, I think... I'll never own a Benelli shotgun, but it IS a pretty name!

I wouldn't be thinking so much about what me or the wife would like, but what the daughter would like. She's the one that will have to live with it (unless she goes through the hassle of legally getting it changed).

A common name is a curse. 2 Mark Johnson's in my senior class two in my area at work. I like and gave my daughters unusual names.

But I dare say you didn't name em Smith and Wesson.

I like it, I think it's a pretty name for a girl and quite original - if you like the name for other reasons than it is your favorite firearms manufacturer.

What I can't stand is people changing the spelling of traditional names just to be different, like Allyson instead of Allison or Carmyn instead of Carmen. Drives me nuts...but then again it's not my child!
