I wanna drill a water well cheap! Ideas?

Anyone know what it cost to have a well drilled ? I know there's lots of variables .

25-50 dollars a foot depending on depth, this would include casing and pump.

mine was dug in Hardin county less than three years ago, 120 foot deep 4" complete with submerged pump 30 gallon above ground tank $4000...

Water depth will depend on where it is in E. Texas. If east of Tyler to Carthage to Jefferson areas, a Good waterwell will be around 150 to 250'. And in some areas, I have seen dry holes. A waterwell with casing and pump would run around $10,000.00. The video is similar to what they used to drill oil wells with in days past. Called a cable tool rig

I got six bids a couple years ago, ranging from 24-37 $/foot.

I saw a video once. Only problem is you dont already have water. He would take joints of PVC connected to his own piece fitted at the end of a water hose. Attach joint of PVC pipe to thingamajig at end of water hose and start pushing it into the ground. If you have no rock I dont see why that wouldnt work. You can also rent a small drilling rig on a trailer.

I did this to 53". It was a lot of work and a lot of water and I barely get 1 gpm. Best bet is to hire a driller and get it done right.
