    Magnifying lense for bow sight

I have a Spot hogg sight that accepts the magnifying lens and am thinking about getting one. I already have a clarifier in my peep. I prefer my bino's to have as much magnifying capabilities as possible, but not sure about with the bow. what does the Green screen think about them and would they help with 10-30 yard shots? will it help with accuracy at all? If so what mag would you get, mine will accept the 2,4 or 6 power.

    thanks GS!

If your shooting 3D a 4X lens will definitely help. For hunting I wouldnt bother.

No more than 4 for hunting. 2 did not really help me out at all.

I use the clarifier in the peep site and it saved my bow hunting life. I don't know why you would need a magnifier for hunting. Following this thread and learning.

            "Need" is not the issue.

I am also looking at a 4x lens for my 7 pin hunter Hogg. Interested in hearing from those who use it as well.

Im prolly gonna put a 4X in my MBG. 2X just showed me how much I shake and hardly no magnification.

Could you switch to a Verifier. I use a pretty strong one in my peep. I just purchased the white one, only one more to go & then what.
                    Not sure on the scope.

What does the clarifier peep help? I have trouble seeing distance, so would a clarifier help?

I added a 4X to my HCA single pin last year. Tried the clarifier lens as well, but it didn't work for me. The 4X however totally changed my bowhunting life! Along with AJ's CD on target panic, this lens has pretty much eliminated my target panic. I can see the targets clearly now. From what the boys at the Bow Zone told me, if you use a magnifier stronger than 4X you are likely to have to use a clarifier lens in your peep. With the 4X my dots on my Reinhart block target look like softballs at 50 yards. I'm shooting comfortably now at 30 and 40 yards... I think if you try it, you will like it. You might want to try a lens with and without the clarifier to see which combo works best for you.

I shoot an HHA single pin with a mgnifier and love it.

When you use any lense you will be limited by available light. Since I hunt at night some times, I do not use any magnification on my hunting bow. Target - I use a 4x. With higher powers, you will see a lot more "jiggle" when you try to hold on target - you will see your body's shakes more.

I like the 2x for hunting. Tried 4x and it was like putting too much scope on a pistol. Just my experience. Not familiar with clarifier, but I'm suddenly interested
