You can bet that if Mack spent it, there was a method to his madness. Most charitable businessman in Houston and a nice guy to boot. $600k is not a large loss to him. I know about 5 years ago his store was bringing in over $1MM per day and was the largest grossing single retail store in the US. Ole Mack will be alright and got some publicity out of it.
