    Prk?

It looks like PRK will be the only option for me to correct my vision with surgery. My current eye Dr recommends Dr Lipsky at Advanced Laser Vision and Surgical Institute. Anyone on the green screen have experience with this Dr? For the people that have had PRK what is you experience on the healing time?

    Thanks.

    Had it done last June.
First couple days pretty much suck. My eye sight was lousy for probably 5-7 days and then got better. Am guessing after 6 weeks my eyesight had stabilized. I had 5+ diopter astigmatism so I was an extreme case. All is good now.

Yup first 3 days very terrible, then it slowly got better. Vision was never perfect. I went from a -6 to a -1 in the right and -1.50 in the left. I still were glasses and I can't find a set of contacts that feel good anymore. Basically one of the worst decisions of my life lol
Good luck, hope you do better then me!

I had it done in March of 2012. The first few days were rough and nights for a week or so was also annoying. Just have to remember that it takes a little time to get healed from the surgery and then one day it will all start clearing up and eventually a few weeks after the surgery it is awesome. I regret nothing other than not saving the money to do it sooner. It will literally change your life. so nice to never jack with contacts getting dry and wearing glasses that fog up and get in the way of everything. Only downside I have noticed is I spend a lot of money on sunglasses now. lol

Looks like it's 50/50. This will be a tough decision. Will be spending some time in prayer over this decision. If I go through with the surgery it'll be sometime in May.

Wife didn't have any real complications from hers except dry eyes...some expensive prescription drops took care of that. Was a great decision to go through with it. Contacts suck.

I'm looking at the same decision. Good luck with whatever you choose.

I did it on January 3. LASIK wasn't an option for me.

First few days vision fluctuated and stabilized at about day 4 or 5 at 20/50. I am told I will plateau there for a week or two and then things would start coming together.

Next appointment is in a few weeks.

                So far I am pleased.

I did it at Berkley in Katy.

I had it done 12 years ago and I have no complaints. I can't burn ants (my vision is not 20/20 anymore) but I'm not wearing any kind of corrective lenses either. Still color blind, too. Follow the post op instructions and put the steroid drops in when you are supposed to. You'll do fine!
