I would like to go on an Axis deer hunt. Best places to hunt? TBH member willing to let me hunt for trespass fee? What to expect? Difficulty of hunting Axis deer? Any and all input would be appreciated. Thanx Calvin

They are a blast to hunt. I think whitetail have keener senses but axis make that up with lack of curiosity. When they sense somethings wrong they don't stand there looking trying to figure out what they see. they blow outta there and bark as they go.
In the mornings the bucks howl. its cool
of coarse they are bigger and eat well. All around awesome to hunt

Yah the Baker3Ranch in Rocksprings is a good affordable fun hunt. I've been three times and have always seen lots of animals (axis, whitetail, black buck, turkey etc). You can get on their website and see all of the hunt dates and prices. The trophy fees used to be really reasonable. I went on the october hunt and you were allowed unlimited axis does, 2 whitetail does, a hog, a turkey, and a "brown buck antelope"). The trophy fees a few years back were only 750 or so for a buck There is a low fence side that is 20,000+ acres I believe. The high fence side is around 7000 acres if I remember right. Someone who has been there more recently might remember better than me. I would just check website. I think it is baker3ranch.com
