Budget will help but I would look at flying a ranch in bandera, morani river ranch, star s ranch, record buck ranch and the yo. All have great animals and awesome lodging. I know people at all of them. None of these are cheap.

The best axis I have ever seen were at the yo. Flying a had a couple monsters when I was there. The best blackbuck I have seen have been on smaller places where the don't get picked over as much. Anywhere should have good rams. Feb can be tough for axis as a lot fewer will be fully tipped out or hard horned. If you are going for rams, I would hunt aoudad, red sheep, mouflon. More exciting than the standard texas dall, Corsican, black Hawaiian in my opinion.

Bad time for Axis. You need to wait until late May June time period. Even early July.

Not in the hill country but Laguna Vista Ranch in Pearsall has what you want and lodging is out of this world. I took a 24" BB there about a month ago. Axis, summer time is best. My BB pic is in my photo gallery.
