    Year round game cams?

Last season was my first year to put up game cameras. They are addictive and I have 5 on 125 acres with plans to add a Covert Black Ops at feeder. My lease is close enough, I can check them a couple times a month. What are the benefits of running them year round or do most of you take them down and put them up before season? Pros and cons from you guys that have used them for several years?

After the season I move some of mine to the protein feeders so I can get an inventory of the bucks that made it through the season. Then I watch them drop and regrow their antlers. Lets me ereally get to know our local deer herd.

I run them year round... We take them off our spin feeders and move them to the bulk feeders at the end of January...

I think a big pro for running them in the offseason is you can see what made it through the season and once they start growing again see how they are progressing..

I don't check mine but every couple months in the offseason as we have our bulk feeders filled and don't go to the ranch very often...

I pulled mine from the feeders this weekend and moved them to trails to try and learn a little more about where the mature bucks are traveling.

To me they're too much fun not to run year around, at least a few!
