    Houston Area Dinner Theaters

There used to be a few places around town that you could go to for dinner and a show. Places like Magic Island, and a few others. Is there anything like that around anymore? I'm trying to plan a date night with the wife and am looking for a change from the old dinner and a movie.

Go to Studio Movie Grill in City Centre I-10 and Beltway 8. Great food!! My wife and I go to movies there. Love it. Get on line and order seats ahead of time. Get the A and B seats in the middle. They honor seniors with discount at 55 years old. Pretty sweet!!

      Dinner Theatre

Funny you should post this. I was just looking on-line last night for the same thing. There are still a FEW Mystery Dinner Theatres around, but not like before. Even when you search on-line, most will refer to movie diners.

When you search, use words like Murder Mystery dinner theatre, Houston, and Comedy Dinner Theatre.

Found one in Grapevine that is Old West Murder Mystry Dinner Theatre.

Prices seem to be $30.00 on the low end to $70.00 plus a tip.

Spaghetti Warehouse also hosts a dinner theatre.

Also many are sold out in advance for a couple months.

Good luck and report back in if you do go.

We like the Paladium.....went last week for dinner, a movie, and bowled a little bit afterwards.....made for a fun night without the little one.

we used to go to the radio music theater on kirby near 59 s. all the time. wife found a burlesque show she wants to go to for her bday comin up. there are also a few murder mystery dinner shows. i think the spaghetti warehouse downtown does something too. or go to kemah and do the dinner cruise at clear lake.

Thanks guys. I will check them out. I would love to find a place like the Great Caruso. That was a neat place. Can't believe Houston doesn't have someplace like this anymore.

Alamo Drafthouse on Mason is always a good choice for dinner and a movie, and beer!
