looking for a starter hammock I am 5' 10" 185 lbs. looking at eagle nest and Hennessey. What would be your suggestion on which to buy.

I bought 4 cheap Grand Trunk hammocks on Amazon before elk season this last year. Changed the suspension on them, and passed them out. We would take a siesta after lunch every day in the timber. They worked great for that. They weigh 11.3 oz.Last edited by Ironman; 01-12-2014, 02:26 PM. -

ENO is a great company and you can also get everything you need, but they don't have a model, or kit, that is all in one. I recommend the Doublenest at the minimum and they even have the Reactor now that is double layer.
The ENO tarps aren't that great for weight (except for maybe the ProFly); but they are put together very well!

I originally bought a Hennessey back in 2002 and I have no complaints; in fact, I still have that hammock (albeit with several modifications). But, knowing what I know now and having access to so much information I would build a custom kit for me.
