Please help on new lease!

What do you know about Walnut Springs in Bosque County? I am making a decision this week on this lease. I've got some feedback like this " yes, there are deer are around there" but am looking for some stronger feedback.

I have...his holding out on me! He always seems to say there are no deer in Bosque County ( I know his trying to keep every arrow slinger out ). The place I am looking at is in the very north part of the county and just not sure of the deer herd.

Got a friend that lives just outside of walnut , he's taken some decent bucks , not monsters but quite respectful . Where is this lease at in relation to Walnut Springs, direction?

2 miles south of town. What kind of measurements/scores did the bucks have? Thanks.

Bucks were prob in the 120-130 range maybe 16"-18" wide, there are decentgenetics but the free range deer rarely make it to 4 1/2 so you never know what they can grow into.

Walnut springs area is probably one of the weaker areas in bosque county for deer IMO, I know the meridian, clifton and cranfills gap areas are all better.

I used to hunt Bill Hartzell's place in Walnut Springs years ago for doves, and I don't recall ever even seeing a deer track there, much less a deer. Gotta be some, but it sure isn't a place I'd go looking for a lease except for doves... some great dove hunting around there.

I finally ran down my buddy...he went to school with Theo....I just didn't want to give you an uninformed opinion....most of this area should be good hunting...not alot of monsters but like mentioned above nice deer 16-18" 120-140" deer depending on how it's hunted just like anywhere....if the price is right I would jump on it if you don't let me know via pm's. I'm just trying to give you an accurate report but nobody I know has hunted "really" close in 8 or 10 years.
