Well, the time has come for my baby girl to begin her last season of running hurdles for a living.
Her final season at Sam Houston State will begin this Saturday with an indoor meet at University of Houston. It's been a long and interesting journey, especially the last year
From starting to hurdle as an 11 yr. old to now running her senior season in college as a grown woman, it's been really fun for me and Jodi. I really appreciate all of yalls support and words of encouragement since her high school days when I brought her to yalls attention. From district championships, to Texas relays appearances, to the State track meet, the recruiting process, and her successes at Sam Houston, you guys have been great. As a few of you know there has been a delay since her last race.
On the day after Thanksgiving of 2012, Sabrina blessed us with a beautiful grandaughter Payslee! All is great with momma, baby, and daddy. Sabrina has worked really hard and seems to be in better shape now than before. The timing worked out so that she didn't have to miss any school which was also a blessing. I am really happy that she had what it takes to come back and run again, but am also saddened that the great run is coming to a end. Please wish her luck on her "last stand"
