    Lasik?

My wife has horrible vision and we have been looking into getting her Lasik. We have had the consultation with a local Dr. and he said she is right on the line of being approved to get it. My question(s) is.... Who has had it done? Where? Would you recommend it?

    Local cost was $4k
I hear Booth and Carter Eyecare in Dallas are $2500.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jason

Wife had it done at Mann eye for just under 3500..Blade free seven minute procedure in the a.m. Slept it off all day and night. When she woke up the next morning was a little sore but she said she had the best vision she's ever had up to that point. That was a year ago and still no problems..they even offered financing.

Best money we ever spent. Changed my life.

I was as blind as a bat with some astigmatism. My body had started rejecting contacts as though they were a foreign body (like an organ donation) and my eyes were visibly swollen from the white blood cells and agitation. Immediately after the surgery they sat me up and I COULD SEE!

Recovery was no make up for a week and some drops a couple of times a day. No pain. Surgery was about 5 minutes and we got it on video (which my students love).

DO IT. DO IT. DO IT.

I still wake up from naps (a year later) and say, "Oh my gosh I slept in my contacts!!!!!!" Only for my husband to say, "Nope, you can see."

It won't protect from reading glasses when you're older, but that's natural. DO IT.

I have never seen so well in my entire life. I didn't even know it was possible to see this well.

            Changed my life. DO IT.

Mine was a bit higher than $4,000 because of the astigmatism.

              Lasik?

January 13th will be 2 years for me. Dr Boothe did mine for around $2,500 I believe. Wore glasses for 18 years, was around 20/400 and am perfect today.

It's a blessing to be eyeglass / contact lens free

I did a search and have been reading a lot of comments I like to hear. I would love for her to be able to see. Then again she may divorce me once she knows what I really look like. Lol... Looking like $3k is about average price. She has a bad astigmatism and that's what has her on the borderline of having it done and higher price. Keep the comments coming. Thanks.

Had my procedure 8 years ago Berkley Eye in The Woodlands , without a doubt the best thing I've done for myself. I walked in blind as a bat and totally dependent on contacts, by the time I got home I could read the ticker scroll on the bottom of Fox news. The procedure was pain free and very quick,I would not hesitate doing it again. Now that I've aged (45) I need to use reading glasses to making reading more comfortable, the Dr. told me during the initial consultation that this happens with aging.

Dr Boothe did mine about 13 years ago. I could have driven myself home but not knowing what to expect I took the valium they offered and was a little to wasted to drive but I had perfect vision

Stephen Dell did mine about 13 years ago. Went from 400/20 to 20/15 in about 5 minutes. Incredible. The absolute best thing I've ever done for myself.
