    Dental implants

Had four dental implants done right after Christmas and I am still suffering pain and discomfort , especially on one of them . Have gone back for adjustments twice . Now I am told by my dentist that it may take up to two months before they heal and feel like normal . Having a hard time eating but this is not the kind of diet I had in mind , plus a big chunk of money paid upfront .
What happened to the one week recovery period that I was told before the procedure . Anybody else had this experience . ?

Implants are when the tooth is missing and a rod is inserted in the jaw bone or upper bone to accept a new tooth....

I hear that. If it ever comes to where I need implants I will tell them to pack sand and I will get dentures.

Sounds like it should hurt for a while.

Isn't there a dentist on this forum?

I know someone who had his wisdom teeth removed about three years ago and still can't feel the left part of his chin or lower lip.

This is what I'm thinking as well.
I had the surgery now just waiting for it to heal for the crown placement and have had zero issues and no pain after the surgery. Hope you get to feeling better.
