    CJ 7 problems

Anybody know why my cj is dying when I push in the clutch to shift our stop? It doesn't idle very well either. Just put a new sending unit on the freshly cleaned out gas tank, new fuel filter, and cleaned the weber carburetor g that was put on by the previous owner. What can I do to fix the problem

Could be a number of things, but I'd look real hard for a vacuum leak. Don't know what year you have or what else may have been modded, but they can be very much a pain when a little air is getting in... Problem areas to check include carb mounting plate, any of the vacuum tubes and tees, and the intake manifold. Good luck!

Agreed... Sounds like a vacuum leak somewhere.

DUI Ignition will solve a lot of problems. Goes well with that Webber also.

What engine and what carb? My 85 has the original 6 with an aftermarket carb, like the others said check vacuum and timing.
