    Need bow setup advice

So after 4 years of trying a crossbow out, I've decided to go back to a compound bow. I had a lot of success with my crossbow and not knocking it at all. I'm trying to get the best bang for the buck on this setup. I'm not looking for the best of everything. Just quality products that won't fail me. I've had $1,200+ bow setups and not wanting to go that route this time. The only things I will be willing to put some money into is arrow rest and arrows. So far I have acquired:

Brand new PSE Brute X 60-70 lb for $273 (great deal)
    Kwikee Kwiver $32

I'm planning on purchasing the following:
Trophy Ridge Punisher 5 sight for $32
Trophy Ridge Static stabilizer for $32

    Contemplating on:
QAD Ultra Rest Hunter or HD
    Ripcord rest
Whisker Biscuit rest (was against this until I read how many hunters love them)

So I would appreciate any opinions on what rest and arrows to get. I like carbon arrows if that helps any. Also any opinions on my sight and stabilizer choice. Thoughts on a good release too would be helpful. Probably under $60 on the release. Thanks

I have used QAD Ultra Rest HD on my last 4-5 bows and really like them, I have no reason to change or try a different rest. There are a lot of different carbon arrows out there. I have shot Easton, Black Eagle, and Carbon Express which were all good arrows. I really like Black Eagle Rampage for a small diameter arrow, really tough, fly well, and pack a punch. I would also recommend Tru ball for a release. I shoot the short n sweet, but any of their releases are good. I would suggest going to a shop who has a good selection, Cinnamon Creek Ranch would be a good one, and try out some different releases. If I can help in any way shoot me a message and I'd be happy to help set up your bow to get you started.

I'd go with the QAD or Ripcord myself (but I like dropaway rests). I have a Ripcord Code Red and it's been a great rest for me but my next rest will most likely be a QAD. They are built like a tank. There are a lot of good arrows out there and the only carbons I've shot have been the Easton Axis. I really like them and have had no reason to switch. They are a high quality arrow at a good price. For the release in that price range I'd take a Scott Little Goose. I use Scott releases and they perform outstanding. They also have an extensive line so you can pick one that fits you best.

Good luck with the new setup!

If you only hunt a WB is the best.

Yeah hunting is all I'll do other than practicing. I don't target shoot.

I just bought a new Limb Driver Pro V rest on here for $75. I've read a lot of good reviews on them. Any opinions on that rest good or bad before I mount it?

I've heard good things about them. I prefer the QAD HDX but it's all personal preference.

70% more arrow support during the shot cycle, NO TIMING ISSUES, if the cord breaks you can still make the shot. You cant say all three of these things about any other fall away on the market.

My next rest (if my ripcord ever goes bad) will be a limbdriver pro v. They are foolproof and I've heard nothing but great things about them
