Well Dark Side I Am

Dropped a doe off at the processor this afternoon and since Cabelas was less than a mile away, and I had gift cards from Christmas and sold my Mathews last week, I stopped in. Looked at several crossbows but the pickings were slim. Went to the Bargain Cave and found a refurbished Ten Point Tactical XLT marked at 1199.99. Took it over to the range and shot it and hate to admit, was quite, much more than my Matrix 380.

Took it up front and remembered I had an employee discount coupon as well. All said and done, bow with six arrows cost me less than 750 out the door.

Now my buddy asks, "Was it worth it?"

Yeah, I've been hunting for the past 48 years, WOW I'm getting old, and started when I was six years old. I've bowhunted a lot since 1976, recruve, compound, recurve and back to compound, and this year decided to pick up a crossbow to change things up. And I love hunting pigs and so far, its been fun with the crossbow.

Sweet. I didn't see any pigs this weekend, but did get a feeder set up near a pig pipe I had set up.



The feeder that was here went kaput, but had pics of many pigs hitting earlier in the season.

Thats from the pigs. It was as high as surrounding grass a month ago.
