Things I learned today deer/pig hunting

Went to one of my honey holes today to get in a little deer hunting before dark. 5 piggies came to market under my feeder. As I watched them try and sneak in they were real cautious until one of the small ones rushed the feeder then it was a foot race to the corn.

What I learned from that point is:
    1. Ballistic tip bullets do some major damage on pigs. 30.06 at 75 yards with no exit wound.
    2. [ame="http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5Y6yGSVhX1g"]How to Field Dress Wild Pigs: Quick Tailgate Method - YouTube[/ame] is a great video on how to process the pig quick.
    3. I enjoy shooting pigs more than deer.
    4. I have to come up with a way to load the pigs in the truck by myself and lifting 150+ pounds is not an easy thing to do for an old man.
    5. Burning the hair off a pig stinks but it is much cleaner to cut up.

What can you add to the list?

An 06 with most any bullet will do dirt to a hog.
Field dressing a pig is like field dressing any other animal, get the guts out.
Pigs, deer, they all work. Good dinining is good dining.
Try a come a long. Strap asrounf the head, jack it up over the tail gate, the throw the hind legs up. Works fine.
Get you a big bucket/whatever and fire it up to a boil and scrape the hair off. Don't stink near so much.
Just forget the hair and skin the suckers.

We use either a large propane burner or spray pigs down with Everclear and light them up before we skin them to get the fleas and ticks off. Scrub the burned hair off with a wire BBQ grill brush. Burned hair stinks but is better than being eaten by fleas.

Seems like a lot of trouble.
I've heard of this and hitting them with Lyme.
          Just quarter and ice them.
