                  Smart Wool with a sock liner works for me. You can also save some money by getting a merino wool blend that is the same as smart wool on ebay for around $6 per pair.

                    I've been using the redhead brand wool socks from bass pro and they have been very warm, they also carry a lifetime warranty

                            I got some First Lite Merino wool socks for Christmas and they are awesome. They seem to fit better than the smart wool socks but they are spendy.
