Now that your done knock in' them in the head, and the skinniness done.
1 I have heard that live snakes are fetching $9 per/lb
2 I haven't tried it yet, but watched a guy skin one whole by skinning the snake through the mouth to mount it. Don't know if it's usable info, but I have to let it out once the old memory has been triggered.

I went ahead and pulled the small one and rinsed it and pinned it on board

      Now I learned two things

I don't have a board big enough for the big one and a pack of 150 pins isn't enough.

Third thing is that it's a pain to push one of those in a hard board.

May double up a couple pieces of cardboard and use. Have some more big fridge box sides Staple may work better also hmmm

Depending on the tanning chemicals, but cardboard probably won't work. Go to the hardware store or harbor freight and get a tack hammer and tacks. If not get smallest finishing nails you can find.

Use a cedar 1x6 or 1x8 and a stapler. Staple right along the edge. It will have to be trimmed off anyway.
                      Much faster.

Very interesting. My wife would be skinning me if I tried that in her kitchen.

                            Cool post

I have used Arrow stapler for projects like that. If you don't have one, they are about $15 or so.

Patched two boards together and finished with a stapler. That was better anyway and easier painting on oil. They are done for now
