The one that got away. For this season at least.

This tall 9 gave me the slip all season! I have been tagged out for a while but was trying to let my dad have a chance at him. I saw him once in person while sitting in the blind just to sit one morning. And have had him on camera 4-5 times just never got my pops there at the same time.

Pretty buck, but he looks young. What is he, 4?

Neat looking deer. Maybe next season. Give it a few months and go find those sheds.

I've got one more weekend to try to get on my target buck. I've seen him 3 times while on-stand with no shot. I also had him at 75 yards one morning with my .270 in hand but couldn't pull the trigger. Wanted to get him with the bow. Now I'm second guessing myself for not taking him when I had a clean shot. We'll see how this weekend pans out.

Good luck on putting your Dad on him. I had a deer similar to that one come in second weekend of rifle season. Watched him for a half hour with the rifle and decided to try to get him with my bow. Have not seen him since but hunting time has aso been limited due to holidays. I did get a few shots with the camera so even though he wont be on my wall I have still been able to show him off.

Heck of a buck. He's not really too old. Be sure to post up pics if you see him next year. Might be an amazing deer.

That's a good looking buck. I have been fortunate enough to get a place 7 minutes from my house and 11 minutes from work so I tend to find myself sitting just to sit. I try to bow only hunt and I had my rifle when I saw him. Had him at about 75 yards for a while feeding. Looking forward to next year I didn't bow hunt this place very hard this year because I was busy filling MLD tags at my other place. And I have photos of him at the feeder during bow season as well. So I think next year I will be spending more time at that little track.

                        I'm still after this one...

Only on camera once this year but I have seen some big tracks skirting the feed pen. Headed out in about an hour and will hunt him for few days. Getting down to the wire...

Got a question. What's that white-lookin box attached to the bottom of ur feeder?
