shot a rabbit what is this?

and this was in its skin. It skinned clean. When I was looking at the skin I saw a lump. When I cut the lump open, these were inside. Any ideas? Is the meat still ok?

Larvae. My Grandpa called them "wolves". The rabbit is fine to eat.

Definitely bot fly larvae. Abnormal to have them now. Meat is fine too eat for the larvae is only just under the skin and not in the meat.
