    Taxi Question About Replicas

I wanted to get a replica made for my dad on the deer we named Goofy many years ago. A paid hunter shot him on Saturday and he is an incredible deer. He was going to be my Dad's deer to hunt but he let this other guy shoot him on a last minute deal. I know he is super happy the other hunter got him but I would like to have a replica made for my dad to keep at the ranch house.

My question: How much does it cost to get a replica set of antlers made and how long does the process take? I don't want to do a shoulder mount, probably only a euro replica.

    Thanks for any feedback.

My dads buddy in Slidell, LA. He does great work but he takes forever and I think that I would have a hard time prying that rack away from the hunters hands for any length of time.

                  Replica

Don't quote me, but I have heard about $10 dollars an inch. So a 170 would be $1700. Really hope Im way off base, but that is what I have heard. Really depends on the quality of work though.

To add to last post that is for the initial replica, to do more after mold of antlers done is inexpensive.

pm Chance Love to get more info

edit: just did some inet research and it appears prices range from $5 - $8 per inch typical (these were prices from 2011 , they could be around $10 right now)

                        here's a pictorial on the process .... http://www.smooth-on.com/gallery.php...078&cPath=1242

Thanks Blake. I spoke with Chance. I am not sure if we are going to do it or not but it is good to know the prices for these types of things.

Just let me know. And FYI, I haven't raised my prices in 5+ years...for what it's worth...
