For years, Sandy and I stayed home and watched ballroom dancing. Ironically when Dancing with the Stars came on, the ballroom dancing competition on New Year's Eve disappeared so we've just been going to bed around 11:00, wake up around midnight when all the fireworks go off, kiss each other, then roll over and go to sleep.
This will be my first NY without her so I'm not sure but currently have no plans. Maybe grill a steak, cook some soft-fried potatoes, and see if there are any good movies on.

New Year's eve......I'll probably be asleep right after the ball drops in NYC.
New Year's day - cooking black-eyed peas, cornbread and a pork rib eye roast - slow smoked on the grill. I always chill at home, watch bowl games and spend quiet time with my lady during New Years.
It's our little time to chill...right before her Tax season schedule kicks in (CPA) ...........and my spring-time surf & fish-a-thon kicks off! She will work 7 days a week from now till April 15th. I then become one with WATER on my time off!Baffin, Rockport, Upper Laguna & PINS (fish) mixed with Horace Caldwell, Fish Pass & Packery Channel jetties (surf).

Taking a bunch of my daughters friends to the ranch for an over nighter...no driving home.
Football, bonfire outside, wood stove on the porch new years eve. Plenty of beverages (kids in late 20's) with nobody driving home. CosmicCowboy famous smoked cheeseburgers New years day with the obligatory black eyed peas. Back to work @ 6am Thursday.
