Seen a one lung shot run 1.5-2 miles. With the frothy bright blood left and the tracks (seemed like he was stomping and staggering) thought he would be piled up around every bush, he layed up twice and we lost blood. Dogs found it the next mornin. Video showed a little back but in my opinion DRT but he made a run of it. Then I watched another shot far back and high ( I believe liver ) piled up in 50 yards. Never know what each particular animal will do or how much they have in the tank. I also watch their chosen route. A fatal wound will follow trails but you might have to track for a while. If they're crashin through the brush crossing trails etc chances are he's close.
