So what is the $ penalty for simple trespass? ???

Some trespassers may just consider the penalty just a cost of doing business.

I really dont want to be ina treestand over a feeder and let two guys walk up with assault rifles. Yes, if you cut a lock, tesspass and poach your ar15 becomes an "Assault rifle". Many of game wardens has lost there life walking up on the weong person.

If you truly work hard on your land, you don't like seeing ANY people who are unauthorized on it. Whether youre a weekend warrior or full time, whether it be 10 acres, or 6000 acres, there is something -- ethically called respect, judicially called trespassing-- that should stop an honest person from walking around unknown land, especially with firearms in hand!

I hope you catch these guys. Best case scenario- they are honest idiots and you perhaps save their life checking them this time (walking up on a land owner with a weapon could have arisen into a situation). Worst case scenario you get 2 criminals off your land.
