    homemade tiller?

Had anybody made a tiller or disc that you could pull behind your truck or atv. We want to plant next year but don't have a tractor and the cost to rent and get implements is crazy. So we were thinking of trying to build something like this.

Check with some of your local farmers near by, see if any would come and plow it for a reasonable offer?

Might have to look into these. I wonder how they would hold up in rough ground. Anyone have any experience with these?

Those would probably work, you would just need to add some weight to it. It looks like you are in hobbs. Not far from Seminole. Equipment auctions pop up all over the place this time of year, especially in that area. If you have a free Saturday morning, look at the times and place and youll be surprised what you can find, and probably meet a farmer who is willing to set you up with something.

I have that little disk like the one from northern tool. like RGarza34 said, I do have to add weight to it. I put a couple of concrete blocks or a bag of corn on it. It works well for small plots. I can't tell you how it works on hard ground, the ground is soft where I use it. I do, or did, have one problem with it. The tongue is too short to make very sharp turns and it will rub your tires , I use it behind a 4wheeler, I had a buddy weld me a 3' extension to get it further away from my tires.

If it is hard and rough your best bet is to ask a local farmer.
