Lost my lab in my avatar last month, was looking for a blood tracker and wife wanted smaller. Well tune has changed and now she wants a blood hound! I'm game, love training dogs and have trained some great bird dogs. Look forward to the training of a blood tracker. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to get a good puppy? Willing to pay the price for a good one. Thanks!

We bought a real fine bloodhound pup from Daniel & Nancy Griffin in Rockdale TX. Phone numbers - 512-4466360, 254-6406207, 512- 7607630. This dog is no longer with us but at 6 months, was making a heck of a blood dog. One thing to consider is the extreme size and power of these dogs. At 6 mos he weighed nearly 90 pounds and I always worked him on a lead. When he got on a hot trail, I could not physically hold him back. He would have grown to around 125# and would have been an awful lot of dog to restrain physically. Really neat, loving dog and a nose beyond equal.Comment
