This year was the first in about 15 that I didn't go hunt in North Carolina. My dad is from the east coast side of North Carolina and the farm he was raised on is still in the family. Nobody in the family hunts so I can go up there and hunt it by myself. I have met a lot of good folks and one actually lets me hunt his place on the club he is a member of. My dad passed away two years ago and I went the last two years by myself. I decided this year that it was just too hard a trip (1300 miles one way) to take by myself so I passed. A six day license up there is only about $80.
