I have the Uway 562, added a line to family plan for 9.99. Unlimited texts, camera has been up 14 months, changed batteries 1 time, it has been a great camera.

What about, can you turn it off after you have trapped one to keep from getting pics?

I have two: An HCO UM562 and an HCO Panda (UM535). The UM562 stopped working literally a couple of days after the one-year warranty was up. Sent it back to them. They couldn't get it to work and are charging me $125 to replace it. The Panda has been great. The Panda has a few more features than the 562 that I like.

Yes You can turn the wireless part on and off. It will still continue to take pics and store to sd card like regular trail camera. You can also request a pic be sent on demand as well. All by text command
