Hello all!
My name is Chris Harrell and I am from Beaumont, TX but now (as of a year ago) call Midland, TX home. I've been perusing this site for a while and am just now getting around to joining the site.
My Dad got me into archery when I was 10 or 11 and I bowhunted exclusively through the 80's as a teen starting with a Pearson longbow and Bear recurve until I got my first compound in 86 (Martin Lynx Magnum). Unfortunately, I fell out of it in the early to mid 90s and got into gun hunting.
Fast forward many years...
A buddy of mine talked me into giving it a whirl again and after reading up a bunch I purchased a BowTech Assassin Black Ops 70lb/29" with the R.A.K. system (dunno if i'll use that yet).
Im still reading up on arrow selection. When I got out of bowhunting, carbon arrows were still too new in the game for me to rely on in the stand. Now they seem to have surpassed aluminum.
Anyhow... this looks like a great site and and a great bunch of folks.
