Rattlebugs are still out in N. Texas

With the nice sunny day in Coleman county apparently brought out atleast one.
The ranch owner, Steve whom some of you met, was hit by one about an hour ago.
He's under observation at hospital now. Tells me that only one fang penetrated but was enough.
Dont assume they're out for winter.

All you have to have is a day with lots of sunshine and they will come out of the den to get warm. Hope he's alright.

I once killed a 5 footer December 31st in North Texas.

Always be aware of where you step or place your hands.

Hope he is OK . Yesterday evening we found one under the steps of an old house, he slithered under before we could do anything.

Yep, it gets warm and they will come to the mouth of the den.

Mark that spot, it will be a great place for a spring time hunt.

              Prayers up for complete recovery.

I didn't know that they would come out this late in the year. Good knowledge to have. See....I have learned something today.
