It is against the law to keep the antlers

You have to call the gw first they will tell you if you can use a tag on it or not. Most will say yes.

I guess Texas is different than Kansas. Friend of mine was told by game warded to use our tag on a buck we found if we wanted to keep it. So he did. I would like to see the official rule from TPW on it. Might come in handy some day.
