    Cull contest at the ranch

We initiated a cull contest this year among the guys at the ranch to find the "best" cull. Winner gets $100. Rules are simple. The winner will be the buck that is at least 5.5 and has the lowest gross b&c score. It took this dude this week and I think I set the bar pretty low and have a good chance at winning. He was ancient, very little teeth left. Gross score 98 1/8". I think Im in the drivers seat.

I can assure you that was a trophy on most of the leases I hunted most of my life.

I just measured a 5.5+ stx monarch from 2012 that I thought might give you a run. You win by a hair. 98 4/8.

This is the first one I have gotten to break 100. I seem to be stuck on 101 or 102 over the years.

What was the spread on your buck? Mine was exactly 13". The two sections of the carpenter's ruler fit right in between the beams.

Congrats to you and sounds like a way to inject a little fun into the hunt.

Love taking a deer like that which needs killin.
