This year we have decided to buy just for our son and the kids in the family. Me and the better half decided we would not buy each other gifts. It's easy to get caught up in the holidays and over spend. The true meaning of Christmas has nothing to do with gifts but celebrating the birth of our FATHER!

you are right about what Christmas is really about. But I would suggest u not wake up Christmas morning and not have anything for her, so I suggest you give it a little thought and maybe make her something. Use things u may already have around. A wire or string bracelet, made from old bowstring or anything u can put together that shows u r thinking of her. I don't remember what it is called , but take some old pictures of u and her and the kids over the years and do a cut out and paste them on a sheet of cardboard and make a frame from anything u can think of.
