Duck stamps for yutes?

I used to know the book front to back, only thing I read thoroughly growing up. Now if it doesn't apply to me I am only guessing. The way I read it, my 13yr old son does not need a federal or a state duck stamp. Is this correct?

Also, if I take him and there is only one gun (for him to shoot, I couldn't care less about shooting them anymore) would I be required to have stamps???

Stamp Endorsement Requirements

A person 17 years of age or older must possess a migratory game bird stamp endorsement receipt to hunt any migratory game bird in this state. Federal law also requires waterfowl hunters 16 years of age and over to have a Federal Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp (commonly called a Duck Stamp; available at most post offices and TPWD offices).
