So for everyone who thinks it is cheating shooting xbow I have found out this season it is still pretty tough still have to get them close. Man I am so upset I hunt public land and would of been nicest buck i had ever killed he must of dropped a ft I am sick. Man I had this deer mounted on the wall already lol

My brother shot a spike at 40 yards a couple of years ago on a public draw hunt.
He purposely aim low and ended up spining him still.

I keep my shots no father than 25 yds - heard and have seen too many stories like this. Too much too chance outside of that yardage regardless of speed and sound. Losing a deer is just a heartbreaking experience. I want my deer dead at a minimal track. The last few years its been hard enough getting a shot at one so I want it to count.
There is a big difference between shooting foam at 40 and 50 vs a deer with any type of bowSome are lucky and it works out.
Positive thing in this is that you didnt end up with a bad hit. Hope you get another shot at him.
