Well, with Clyde,no. I actually like Clyde pretty well. I have had a few minor issues as far as arrows and such but it tends to be his help. Over all, they are pretty good but fairly pricey since there is no competition nearby. I have learned to do most of my own work, ie serving, arrows, tuning, and so on.

My only experience was with my very first bow I ever got - I got it as a christmas gift when I was 15yrs old and my grandad bought it at Clydes - The day after Christmas Clyde met us at the shop and got it all set up to fit me and let me shoot till my heart was content
It is a retail business so I am sure there are plenty of negatives, but my one experience with him was one great and one that I will never forget being as it involved the setting up of my very first bow as a kiddo.

I dont have a problem with him personally but I have attempted to give them business twice now and both times it hasnt gone well. The first time I bought a switchback XT from him and told him I would buy all my accessories through him even though he had none it stock. After 4 weeks of getting the run around on when they would come in it turns out they were never ordered.
I just ordered the mathews chill R from him 6 weeks ago and again I am getting the run around after I was told it wouldnt take more than 3 weeks to arrive. They have told me 3 times now that they would call mathews to see where it is. They still havent called mathews and I have a feeling the bow was never ordered.
Dont want anyone to think I am on here just to bash his business, just trying to vent my frustrations.

For the corpus area you either go to Clydes, J&J Archery in Port Lavaca, or deal with the people that don't know anything at academy. Some people go into clydes one time and say they will never go back, I will say his shop has changed the last few years and he has lost some good employees that made things happen. When I was younger I shot archery for 4H and he pulled of some miracles for so I would have arrows in time or have my bow back in time. Clyde Knows a lot of stuff about bows, now some of his employee's I have come across not so much. The key is catching clyde while he is actually there which is hard to do. That's when I began going to J&J Archery in Port Lavaca.
The last Bow bought (Mathews Helim) I got in P.Lavaca They got a great shop over there. I walked in there and he took the time of day to explain certain things to me. Measured my draw length had it in stock, I told him put whatever sight, rest, stabilizer he wanted on there, his response to that was he only used the best on all his bows. Had the bow that day not 45-1hr later, and we sighted it in before I left. Did save money by driving up there also.
