    Christmas Lights help!!!

I'm at my wits end trying to fix three broken light strands. I checked the fuses at the male plug end and they are all good. All of them are burned out at the same spot with one of these (pictured below) right in line. Is this a fuse holder? If so, how do you split the thing apart? Any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Unfortunately they are the more expensive LED lights and I don't want to replace them every year.

You need to go get the christmas light gun. Home Depot has them if that thing won't fix them throw them out.

pretty sure its not a fuse but maybe rather some type of rectifier. Not sure whats going on unless it (rectifier) went bad. I don't think you are supposed to be able to open that or replace it. Probably should just buy a new strand.

That's a rectifier & there is no way to "repair" or replace it. LED's are great, they consume next to no energy & last 10's of thousands of hours.....unless you ruin a rectifier, then they are just trash.

Had no idea. Too bad you don't have an installer in the Wichita Falls area because I'd probably be calling by now. Messing with these darn things kind of takes the Christmas spirit away.

Are you using those on your roof, or doorway, or around a window or other?

Everytime I have tried to string lights together (and make them all work) I get Terretes Syndrome..

throw them away and buy some new lights.they are not made to be worked on any more, or so it seems. (it'll save you some stress any way)...good luck
