Dallas roads, to go or not to go...

Leaning towards not going. Got an awards banquet and fundraising Gala for my department tonight, in Grand Prairie, I live in The Colony and work tomorrow at 7AM. Really was looking forward to this and hoping roads would thaw so I could take the old lady out and let her get dressed up and enjoy ourselves but I just don't think I'd be able to enjoy myself anticipating the gnarly ride home and work in the morning...

What would you do...

Its not cancelled, they were talking about rescheduling, but they put word out yesterday evening that it was still a go.

I'm in Dallas and had trouble getting my truck out of the driveway to go to the store.

I've been on the roads far more than I care to mention over the last 24 hours. They are bad. Spin outs every where, stuck vehicles, jack knifed semis, etc. I even saw an older Corolla stuck on a bridge that was complete bottomed out on ice. Middle of the highway on 635. It's ugly. Build a fire and stay home.

I just made a trip to 7/11 and barely made it back home.(have 4x4)I live in a hilly area and it was pretty hairy coming up & down the hill.Will not get back out today.
