    Feeder Question

I have started hunting hogs on a friend of the families
    Total acres is around 500
I have 4 feeders setup all within 15yrds of hog trails
I dump 1lb corn a day plus throw corn
Have not had any response from hogs yet
Now I know there are still acorns and pecans on the ground
This has been set for 3 weeks
Should I let it stay this way or stop until most acorns and pecans are gone

Do you have cameras on the feeders?
Have you seen hogs on the place?

If you have feeders running 15 yards from a trail and dont have pics of hogs at the feeder, there are no hogs using that trail!

I know it sounds **** but you need to set up ON the trail to maximize the number of animals that find the feeder.

Go to where the are. I like to find a spot where a couple trails intersect and put the feeder DIRECTLY on that spot.

This year I put out two feeders at one of my spots. one in the wide open but ON the intersection of 2 trails. the other in some trees, but 15 yards off the trail. The game cam shows, and my hunting the spot confirms, the feeder on the trail gets about 85% more animals than the feeder right off the trail...

I am a firm believer of hunting the animals where they are instead of trying to lure them to you.

          Went out fought the mud
          2 feeders hit hard
moved one of the other 2 on the edge of a patch of pecans
the other on edge of oak patch
          Now to see what happens
