    Android Question

I got the Motorola Razr last year this time. This last few days I am finding it is taking forever to charge the battery. Prior to this week it always charged pretty fast.
For instance, I have had it plugged in for an hour or more and it has only went from 50% to 80%. Usually it woulda been 100% in about 30 min.
    Anyone have any ideas?

Mine has never charged that fast.....although I just plug it in when I go to bed, and unplug it when I wake up. The few times I have plugged it in for 20-30 minutes......I only get 10-15% more juice....but nothing as fast as you were originally getting!!

        Not that I'm aware of.

Are you aware of when the updates occur? Is this something that happens and they give you a notice? Or is it something you have to manually initiate?
I am a dumb smartphone user still.

Was wondering if that is what is needed. Would think it would last longer than a year, but, I suppose it does matter how much the phone is used.

The apps on the phone will update on their own, but the actual OS and phone wont updated until you select the "update now" option when it prompts you to do so. When the phone knows there is an update....it will ask you with a "pop-up" window every so often if you would like to install the update or install later.......depending upon your settings.

you can overcharge these buggers..fall asleep with it on a charger repeatedly and sooner or later it begins to act wonky! mine started acting like yours then..the battery started expanding...take yout batt out and lay it on something flat and give it a spin if it does get a new one cause next thing is...exploded batt. but mine acted stupid for a month before i noticed expansion.

Try pulling the battery out ( leave out 2mins) and let the system re-set.

If problem continues order you a new battery online.

I'm not sure about the Razr. my Galaxy will have a notice on the top that indicates an update is needed or has occurred. I have it set to manually do all the updates, mostly because I am not usually in a wi-fi area and I don't want data charges on updates. To do that, you have to tell each app to not automatically update.
I have found re-booting the phone at least once a week helps with speed and battery usage. As far as the battery life, over time it will take longer to charge and less time to discharge. I am lucky to get more than a year out of my battery, which I happen to think is BS. You can get replacement batteries at a battery store much cheaper than the phone store, but in my experience they don't last as long. If your battery is getting hot, then it definitely needs to be replaced.

This and go to settings -> battery. It should tell you what apps and processes are slowing down your battery

Pretty sure it's non removable. I think most are these days unless you care to open them up and play surgeon on your phone
