    "BIG" Hog Trap Help

We're thinking about doing some trapping on a massive scale, we currently have the mother load of pigs!!!!So much so that we're killing them by the dozens and dozens and they aren't fazed in the slightest. Trail cam pics with over 60 mature pigs in a single frame, again
We're planning on a saloon gate where they can continue to keep entering the trap unless anyone has a better idea?
Planning on running a big feeder inside it..
Now to the questions, what size trap is needed to catch 30-40 at a time or more?
How do we get them out alive to sell them?
If we opt to execute them in the trap will any more hogs go in the trap later?
How do you keep them from going under the cattle panels?

Basically if you have any pointers or advice on trapping lots at a time I'm all ears.. I've trapped plenty on small scale but nothing like this. We basically just want to remove as many as possible,,,,, and soon!!

A company makes a system of a trail can and a drop gate that are both compatible with your cellphone. The camera texts you pics and when you see that the entire sounder is inside the trap you call the box on the drop gate and boom you have trapped the entir sounder group. May be a little pricey but would be cool to try.

In my experience, after blood is split on the trap, it takes several days before I catch more.

I think Cable has one of these, maybe he can chime in on it and what they cost. I'm also interested.

The big trap Iansumrall is talking about is called "Go in fencing." My dad bought the trap without the camera and it is pretty nice, the owner is a really nice guy to. I think their record is like 45 at one time.

How does it work without the camera/remote trigger? How does it trigger?

I personally prefer to setup where a large # of hogs are in trap before it trips if adult hogs are what you are after. Install panels like a squeeze chute to herd hogs towards gate if you want to load to sell.

It comes with a stake to hold the door up and then you run a trip wire across. You can put the wire as far back as you want to let multiple pigs in before it drops the door. Then the door is on a hinge so more can come in but not get out.

Need a barrier on top, they will climb out or jump out. They are crazy! The bigger the trap the better, like make it a 1/2 acre or so making them think they are in a field. You can also get cattle panels and make a big circle or Q shaped. Slowly squeeze in the Q where they get used to pushing to get in, then fill the arena up.

Can you make one like a figure 6 or 9 ? can make it as big as you need.

You can build a "door" on one side to herd them out alive if you are wanting to go that route.
