We have a trap just like that one and have never caught anything in the year and a half that we have tried it. Only thing we have csught in the trap is a doe. What bait do you use? We have tried everything from corn, corn soaked in big red and salt, dog food, left over scraps, you name it we have tried it.

Its hit and miss here too...2 years ago I made $2500 in two months but with the dairy business going south the hogs are getting thinner

Go get all the day old donuts from the donut store and try it. Don't arm it for awhile and let them get used to going in and out of it freely - then arm it and bring on the ldp's!!!

Have not tried donuts and will give that a shot. We haven't tried cherry jello but did use strawberry a couple of times with no good results.

My experience with the box-type traps is that you'll catch the smaller ones (90# and under) but will very seldom catch a larger pig. Now, my figure 6 traps and large circle traps with a feeder inside, they do well. Here's a pic of a wad of shoats in a box trap--and I once caught 16 mixed sizes in a large circle trap. You can build the circle trap for about what you invest in the box trap too--
