Did you know that since 1950, every departing Texas Longhorn coach has lost to Baylor in his final season. That list includes:
Ed Price - 1956
Darrell Royal - 1976
Fred Akers - 1986
David McWilliams - 1991
John Mackovic - 1997
Mack Brown - 2013???
Baylor is 18-1 at home since 2011, having won 9 straight
Baylor is 5-0 vs Top 25 opponents at home in the last 3 seasons
Everyone has talked about Baylor being a different animal at home...the same can be said about Texas on the road. Aside from an easy win over 4-8 TCU, Texas has not played well on the road. They were obliterated at BYU, albeit before wholesale changes were made on both sides of the ball. They needed referee's assistance to win a 1-point game against 3-9 Iowa State. Then they also needed a miracle, aided by 5 WVU turnovers, to beat a 4-8 WVU team in overtime in Morgantown.
Baylor has been great the last few years and I like that. I am not saying they have not been. I am just pulling for my Horns.......in Waco, since 1976.Last edited by Burntorange Bowhunter; 12-05-2013, 11:49 AM.

@slmandel: Steve Spurrier lobbying for South Carolina to the Cotton Bowl. That'd be fun. http://t.co/u7tkgR0IOD

Spurrier cried earlier this week that he did NOT want to go back to the Outback Bowl in Tampa. USCe has been there 2x's in the last 5 yrs. He was advocating Cotton
This opened the door for LSU to the OB with a match-up vs. Wisky , possibly Iowa
LSU begins the 2014 season vs. Wisky @ Reliant Stadium , return game in 2015 at Lambeau
back to back games vs. same opponent would be strange

Texas obliterated TCU and decisively beat OU on the road.
Toss out the "albeit before wholesale changes" game since "wholesale changes" are just that. Suddenly the Iowa State and WVU road games are balanced by the TCU and OU games.
What is OU ranked? 17?
The argument would be like a Texas fan coming on here and saying that technically, Baylor only dominated OU for one quarter of football.

Oh come on guys!!! Texas vs OU isn't a road game. Gimme a break. I'm talking about playing in a true road environment, not a neutral site game where you've still got 40-50,000 of your own fans in attendance.
I know what you're thinking...Baylor/Texas games in Waco in the past have been similar to neutral site games. Not this one.
Can't wait. Lots of excitement around Waco. Town is buzzing like it was the week of the Oklahoma game. Gonna be a great atmosphere with some great football weather. Chances of precipitation are dropping rapidly.
Can't think of a better way to close out Floyd Casey than Baylor vs Texas!

8 - 12 degree wind chill. That doesn't help the vertical game!
Briles set to turn out the final lamp post.
