WOW - Interesting conversation with Moultrie customer service.

With all the conflicting information I received from the good folks here on the green screen from this thread... http://discussions.texasbowhunter.co...light=moultrie

I decided to call moultrie to see what they had to say and their sales pitch.

For the M80XT, the lady said to use either the power panel or the 12volt battery box supply.

She said, she really did... that the wires from the battery to the camera would trickle down the correct voltage for the camera.

I asked , to be sure that the wires did it and not the camera. nope, it was the wires.

I ask her if I could buy just those magic wires. No dice. All or nothing. a Battery / battery case and connector 75.00.

ANy other set up would void the warranty. I sent them an email to confirm what I thought I had heard... we'lls see what they say.

Yeah... I figured they would. I wanted to see how far they would go to say that theirs were the only ones that would work.

We'll see if I get an email response back.

That's funny because I have several M80's hooked up to a 6volt rechargeable with a 6 volt solar panel and they work perfect.

you must have the 6v to 12v converting wires.

that is probably what I am gonna do. I just got several "M" connectors. Now, i gots to find my magnifying glasses to see to solder.

Maybe I can find some magic wires to make it work.
